Importing PDF Files into Word

How do you include a PDF file into a word document?

I am trying to send out a word document and want to
include a PDF file that I created... I can only do this if
I send 2 separate documents, the Word.doc and the PDF.pdf

This there a way to combine them into one?

It depends on whether you want to
a) include the PDF file as a file embedding (File > Insert); or
b) incorporate the contents of the PDF (harder and potentially more
expensive to accomplish as you need software to extract those contents).
