I want to import a 76 page pdf into Word. Do I have to it one page at a time, or is there a way of importing/inserting the whole document at once?

A PDF - or *any* graphic file - inserted into a Word document is inserted in
its entirety, so the 76 pages do get inserted. However, the 76-page PDF file
is inserted as a single object so only the first [or top-most] page
displays. The pages don't get separated as individual objects and a single
object can't span a page break.

If you want each page of the PDF to display in the doc then yes, you'll have
to split the PDF into separate 1 page files & individually insert each one
unless you have Acrobat. Acrobat 8 or later can Export a PDF as a Word
document which can then be inserted into another Word document. That process
will generate the individual pages but there may also be some formatting
issues to take into consideration.
