importing picture crashes comctl32.dll HELP!

One day it worked. The next day it crashed.

Nothing changed on my machine that I can see. Windows was
up to date. Bringing Office up to date did not fix the
problem.

The problem appears in both PowerPoint and Word. I have
not tried other Office programs.

What should I try?
