Importing problem / tables, forms not showing up.

I have 2 nearly identical mdb files. When I open one and
try to import a table or form from the other, the lists I
get are based on the current database and not the one I
want to import from. Access 2000 9.0.6926 SP-3. I tried
this on another machine with Access 2000 9.0.2821 SR-1
and it works correctly.

Further developments - I can accomplish the task as a 2

step process: create a new database and import the
tables / forms into it. Then open the desired database
and import from the new database. This appears to be a
weird problem probably associated with the fact that the
two databases I was working with are so similar.
