Importing PST file after moving from Vista to XP

F

Freddy

Due to problems with Vista, I have re-installed XP on my PC.
Before re-installing, I have made an export (PST) file of my Outlook data.

I have installed Office 2007 again on XP.
When I now import the PST file, I do have my contactpersons and all my emails.
However, I am now able to even enter my agenda.
Outlook completely crashes.

Does anyone have a solutions for this?

Why do you think you needed to both export and import? As posted many
many times, usually several times a DAY,all you do is COPY the pst file
and connect it to your mail profile.
You have probably corrupted your mail profile. Create a new one in
Control panel-Mail and add the existing pst file to it in the same place
under data files.
For future reference here are some links on how to migrate Outlook data
the correct way:

Hi Gordon,
Thanks for your reply.
We have created a new mail profile and linked the correct dataset to it.
It works...

Cheers.
