importing .pst files to 2000 from 98

i upgraded from win 98 to win 2000. before upgrading i
saved my e-mails in a .pst file on cd. i am having
trouble importing the file. the error is that
the "parameters have not been defined." any advice?

Milly Staples [MVP - Outlook]

Copy the file to the hard drive as files on CDs are read only and Outlook
requires exclusive read/write access to the .pst file. Once copied to the
drive, remove the read-only mark from its properties page.

Once you have done this, use File->Open to open the .pst file, thus
preserving information that is normally lost on import (custom forms,
received dates, connection to journal for contacts, etc.)
