Importing Q&A database into Access

C

Clive

Does anyone have any pearls of wisdom about how to import
a Symantec Q&A database into Access? Any and all help will
be gratefully received.

Thank you.

Use any standard import mechanism provided by MS-Access. You can see what they
are just as well as I can.

If there is no other obvious mechanism, the way to transfer data to MS-Access
is via CSV or TEXT format. If the other system does not provide this standard
mechanism, then the options seem "severely limited", so to speak.

I guess you are asking if there's some "magic solution". Not that I know of,
it's all downhill from CSV format :)

I Have a good info package on how to do this, I spent some time back in the late 90's before y2k trying to save some info. Do you have a fax, I would be glad to send it to you. I also have to ask you if you have a copy of Q&A, I have my archive files, but am trying to locate a copy of the software. If you have a copy please e-mail me (e-mail address removed)

I would really appreciate it.

If you have a method, and if it's not too long to post or if you can post
brief details, or even better point to a web-site, then it's worth posting
publicly as I'm sure many more people than just Clive are interested.

Regards
Chris
