Importing Rich Text Into Access 2007

I have some data in Excel that includes simple formatting including italics
and boldface. Now that Access 2007 memo fields support rich text, I would
like to use Access for this application instead of Excel.

When I import the data from Excel into Access 2007, the formatting doesn't
come along, even though the destination field is defined as a memo field and
rich text is enabled.

Does anyone know of a way to import formatted data into Access 2007?


[I thought that I posted this yesterday, but can't find any evidence of it.
Please excuse the duplication if I'm missing something.]

The rich text fields in Access 2007 are actually HTML, so it's unlikely you
can get formatted Excel data in that way.
