I have designed a database and it is running smootly in Access 2003 but I
need to analyse the data in more depth than I can in Excel.
Therefore, I have tried to use Excel and to import the data, but everytime I
try to do this, I get an error message when i test the connection saying i do
not have permission. I have user workgroup secuity on this and the current
database runs from a shortcut to the front end. If i try to open the front
end without the shortcut it again says I do not have the correct permission
Any ideas as to how I can get round this and develop a link between the two
so that when Access data changes, it in turn updates the Excel file?
Many Thanks,
Matt
