importing table

Hi

I used to import a .dbf table into access using the import command.

I just upgraded to W2K from NT40 and when I tried to import the table,
message pops up saying "External table is not in the expected format"

What is wrong?? Help appreciated. Thanks in advance

I got that same error too when I tried to import Excel
files to Access. Access is picky about imports. It
might not be able to handle the .dbf table's special
formatting. You might try to rearrange the layout or
format in your .dbf table before importing. If your file
isn't very big you can always cut and paste.
