importing tables AS/400 decinal field size

I am trying to import tables from the AS/400 in Access 2K
and Windows XP using ODBC drivers. The table contains
text and numeric feilds. Whenever Access tries to write
the table to the database, I get an error "decimal field
percison to small". This problem did not occur under
Windows 2000 and Acsess 2000. The default decimal
percison size is 8.
