importing tables from dbase IV

Using Access 2000, having some problems in several areas.
(using WIN'98) I have to import and append aprox 450
tables from DBase to Access. I can do 2 at a time then
the program will not allow me to import any more until i
shut the whole thing down and re-open Access again. Is
there a way around this? I don't have this problem using
Access 2002 in Win XP....(I am using 2 machines in 2
different locations...long story)

The issue seems to have solved itself...I downloaded a
patch for the MSjet engine and now I can import as many as
necessary at a time...although if anyone knows a short cut
to import 460 tables of 1000 records each please let me
know!
