Importing Tables

I have tried to import a table from excel and I get to the end of the wizard
when it says "error occurred trying to import, the file was not imported".
Any idea how to find out what the error is so I can fix it?

Make sure your have the Excel table set up nicely with
rows and colmuns with the first row having the field
names. Then make sure each column is of the same data type
from top to bottom. Including the first row. For example,
format the first row as number even if it has text in it.
