Importing text files in to Access

When I Import text files in to Access 2002 everything is fine until I try and
change the field properties. It won't let me change anything but Field 1.
If I go into Advanced I can do it ~ why doesn't it work in the primary
screen ?

As far as i can remember this problem was fixed in an Office XP service
pack. Download and install the current SP.
