importing to a web site's Access DB

Is there a way that I can import new records (from an uploaded file) into
Access (DB) without taking the DB off-line? This DB is on a web server and
suppling data for an ASP web site. Currently I have to bring the DB
locally (bringing it off-line as well as the web site) open the database and
import the file (containing new records) to updates a table. Looking for a
way to do this (on the fly) and keep everything running on the web server.

I'm pretty sure the answer is no. I had the same problem then I upgraded to
SQL Server about 5 years ago, and now I can link tables. I don't believe
Microsoft added the capability since then. Now I upload dated using Access
and linked tables. Previously I needed active server pages. If you are
using a hosted service it is very inexpensive subscribe to SQL Sever
hosting.
