Importing Vector Graphics

Can anyone help... I'm using Word X to create templates for standard
letters, stationary etc and need to import the company logo. I would
prefer this to be in vector format to retain its bezier curves for best
results / smallest file size. However I can't find a format that is
suitable. Word either rasterises PDF files or converts bezier
information to straight lines in WMF/EMF etc. Is this possible or am I
asking too much from Word.
Any help wopuld be much appreciated.
Thanks
Dan

Hi Dan,
You have pressed a well-worn button.
It is possible to import eps graphics, but there are several gotchas.
I do all my company stationery that way.
Do you know how to search the group with Google?

....hmm (inspects Dan's e-mail addy) ...I guess you do.
eps is a good search term to start with. You will also find my earlier
rants and the excellent help I received if you stick me into the search
as author.

Elliott,

Thanks for the help. It appears that scaling artwork to 400% and then
exporting WMF from illustrator, importing and reducing back to original
size would be the best workaround. Hopefully the next version of Word
will support the flash format.....probably not though. Thanks again

Yep. That should work. I find a similar trick with tiffs is ok, as long
as you are not fussed by file size.

eps works when you print the output to a postscript printer. If you PDF
it, you get the low-res preview, and you can get round that by printing
to file as postscript and then using preview to turn it into pdf.
Tiresome, but it looks great.
