Importing Visio into Word

No matter what I do, I can't seem to import my Viso Diagrams into Word.
I have tried inserting an 'Object' and an 'Icon', but I keep getting the error message "Word is waiting for another applicaiton to complete an OLE action."
Does anyone have a work around for me please?

There may be a built-in way to do this.. I'm no expert,
but I can tell you how I do it. When I want to show a
visio daigram in powerpoint or work, or send it to someone
who does not have visio, I save the diagram as a .jpg
grphic. file.. save as.. pick .jpg. you will have to
fool around with the settings on size and resolution to
get a picture of the diagram which is readable and small
enough to be easily usable, depending on the complexity
and size of the text and objects in the diagram.. Good

I have Visio 2000 and Word 2000.

In Visio go to Edit, Copy Drawing.
Then go to Word and Paste.

Try it, it should work.
