Importing xls file to replace existing table in MS Access 2000

I am trying to import a xls file into an existing table in
MS Access. I am needing to replace the existing data in
the table with the new data from the xls file. (i.e. we
need to change all the data in the table with all new data
from xls file) We need to import the data without
modifying the existing constraints. Need help. Thanks.

If you try to drop the table you have problems with
costraints... It's better to leave there the table
structure and delete all records in the target table (you
can use a DELETE query) and use a INSERT query to insert
the new data. Do not use "import" but "link" your Excel
sheet. The link will be good even for next data updating
if Excel file name, position and worsheet name remain the
same.
