After installing of Office XP on my XP-machine I converted an 2000-DB to
2002-format. Before converting I copied the DB from net dir to a local dir.
Then I put it back to the net dir. Now I'd want to open the new DB from its
network location - and got the message (from Access):
"Access could not open this file. This file is out of your intranet or on a
website, who is not in the list of securely sites. Access will not open this
file because of possible security problems. To open this file, copy it onto
your machine or to a network location where you have access to."
This message was translated from german, so I hope I did it right.
The file is in a directory on our main "Novell Netware" fileserver, and I'm
one of three network admins, so I have all possible access rights.
After that message I had a look at the Internet Explorer preferences and I
tried to add the net path to the list of secure sites. But that was not
possible, because the system said that the site also is in another zone.
With all of the other Access versions used this problem had never occurred.
So I think it's any attribute of the preferences, but I don't where to look
for.
Any help is welcome, maybe a hint to the right source of information could
help to solve the problem by myself.
I'm not sure if this is the right group for my problem...
Thanks in advance
Guido.
