improrting Excel Spreadsheets to Access XP

When I import an Excel Spreadsheet to and Access XP
database. The dates that appear in Excel as 6/7/04. Will
appear in the Access import spreadsheet wizard as 7/6/04
00:00:00. Also when the above happens the "Where would
you like to store data? In Existing Table:" is greyed out.

If you go throught the whole wizard and say Finish then
the date appears in the Table in the format of 6/7/2004.

I would like to be able to add these imports to existing
tables. Is there a seeting in Access that I need to
change?

Hi Pete,

To import to an existing Access table, the first row of the Excel table
must contain field names and you must check "First row contains column
headings" in the spreadsheet import wizard.
