Manual printing of loaded document

In Word 2000, once a form was protected, a user could not change the
formatting of the document. Now in Word 2003, I have created a form with the
appropriate form fields, etc., protected the document and if the user hits
the enter key, a line is inserted into the document, changing the formatting.

Is there a workaround to this problem?

Thanks.

It makes no difference what version, all versions will allow hitting the
enter key within a form field. If you want to have it "appear" that they
cannot, place the form field in a table cell and set its height to EXACTLY a
specific measurement. Your Word 2000 form may have had this setting and you
didn't realize it. :)

As Anne says, the usual way around this is to put the text form field in a
table cell with Exact cell height, though this really disguises or
discourages rather than prevents the problem. If you want to prohibit
pressing Enter in a form field, see “WD: How to Code ENTER Key to Move to
Next Field in Form†at http://support.microsoft.com?kbid=211219
