In a reply email, my message scrolls to top hiding cursor line

I click "reply" or "reply to all" and start typing my response to an email.
After several lines of typing, the display scrolls to the top of my message
so that the place where I am typing goes off the bottom of the window and is
out of sight. If I continue typing blind, eventually the window scrolls
again so that I can see what I am typing. This is a new problem with Outlook
Office 2007; scrolling worked right using Outlook 2002.
