In Access, how do I specify constraints for text box?

I have a text box in a form in Access. I have a lengthy note to type, but I
am limited on the number of spaces I can type. The "Can Grow" option is on,
but that doesn't help. Any suggestions?

Can Grow applies only when you're *printing* the form - not onscreen.

Either turn the textbox's Scroll Bar on, or use Shift-F2 to open a "ZOOM" box
- a popup "form" that gives you basically unlimited room to type.

I tried that and am getting a message "The string returned by the builder was
too long. The result will be truncated." The only option is to click "OK".
When I do, it cuts the entry back to part of the text.
Anything else that I can try.
Thanks,
Debra

What's the size of the text field to which the control is bound?

By default, when you create a text field, it's set to accept up to 50
characters. You can change that to 255 characters. If you need more than 255
characters, you must change the field from Text to Memo. (Note, though, that
there are some limitations on what you can do with Memo fields)
