Hi Danielle,
The printed variation between Word font color presets
Indigo and blue appears much more pronounced on the
screen than on paper.
In testing this on a few printers the differences were
more obvious with higher print quality but still slight.
I scanned back in the printed documents and reviewed the
scans with a color checker and there is a difference.
My guess is that it may be a limitation of the Color Management
profile in use by the printers (Printer properties from Windows
'color management' tab) but also of the human eye color
perception.
You may want to select the text, keep your blue color and
use Format=>Font=>Shadow to have it stand out more or select
a color with greater difference. When printing in grey scale
or copying the difference became more noticeable/

I typed a one-page document with Century Gothic font, everything in indigo.
For contrast, in the middle of the document I printed a blue line. Both on
my inkjet and on the laser printer here at work, all of the color turns out
as indigo. How can I get the contrasting line to show up as blue? >>
