In Excel, a Hyperlink to a .jpg always uses Inet Exployer

I have a hyperlink to a .jpg file on my local disk. Even
though I set the "Open With" on that file to "Windows
Picture and Fax Viewer" (because of its zoom capability)
it always opens using Inet Exployer. If I clik on
the .jpg itself it does open with the WP&FV. It is on
via the Hyperlink in a Excel cell that it always uses
Inet exployer and therefore I have no ability to zoom.
Any help is appreciated.
