In OUTLOOK 2003, photos in e-mail are not displayed.

I am running XP Home Edition, SP2, and Office 2003. I am using OUTLOOK 2003
for my e-mail. In some of my incoming messages that have photos in the
message (not as attachments) I cannot view the photos. In other such
messages, I can view the photos. I would like to be able to view them. Is
this a problem with the settings on my compter, or is the problem with the
senders. How can I remedy it.

If the images are actually embedded, you should see them that way. If
they're attached, you should see them that way. When you say "can't view
the photos" do you mean that they not there at all or that they're always
attachments?

Brian,
The photos do not appear listed as attachments. I see only rectangles with
red X.s where I know photos should appear in the message. One person who
sends photos occasionally now sends them as attachments. These I can open in
the normal way.
Thanks

Click Tools>Options>Security>Change Automatic Download Settings. What's
selected on that dialogue?
