In Outlook email embedded Excel Worksheet converted to picture aftersending. HELP!

When I send an Outlook 2007 HTML email (Word as editor) with an Excel
table inserted in the text as embedded Excel worksheet object, the
receiver cannot open the spreadsheet as an excel spreadsheet, instead
it is converted into a picture. The same applies to the email when
opened from my Sent box. How can I allow it to stay an editable Excel
worksheet after sending, instead of it being automatically converted
into a picture?? I know of the option of creating the spreadsheet in
Excel - outside Outlook/Word - and then attaching the file, but that
makes the "insert an Excel table" functionality in Word/Outlook
absolutely useless!

Hey, that definitely does the trick. Thanks a million. Why oh why does
MS not mention this anywhere in its programmes? And why doesn't it
work in HTML format?

embedding an object requires OLE - RTF handles it better, HTML needs an
active x control.

Hi - I have had the same issue as above but can't seem to get around it by
using the solution given?

Is the instruction to embed the excel worksheet object whilst the message
format is in RTF?

I think you need to use RTF to embed the object.
