In OWA (Outlook Web Access), how to add multiple email addresses for one name in dist list?

Hi all,

I am new to OWA, it is the new mandated email service for our school
district, and I'm trying to create some distribution lists as the
user. I am not an administrator and have no access other than being
signed in as me. I am told there is no way to simply upload a flat
file with this program and must enter all contacts manually.

I have no contacts, I have only 3 distribution lists. This account is
for our outgoing Mass Mailings to students and families. We average
about 2 per week keeping families informed of goings on.

Here's what I've done so far:

I opened "Contacts" and clicked on Create New - chose Dist list,
copied and pasted names from our excel (csv) file, all went okay
except for those entries that had more than one email address.

I then opened up the csv file in a text editor and tried copying both
as they were there, didn't work.

I've tried using commas, and semi-colons... so I must ask if it is
even possible in OWA to have multiple email addresses in the
distribution lists?

It's pretty limited as it is and I can't find anything that would let
me add another field or explanation of how to add another email
address.

Anyone know??

thanks,
niteowl

Outlook and Outlook Web Access are not the same thing. OWA is a web interface
to Exchange and is covered in the newsgroup microsoft.public.exchange.clients.

What version of Exchange? In 2007, a semi-colon delimited list of email
addresses can be pasted in the members field of a distribution list. As for
multiple addresses for one person - yes, it will work if each address is
semi-colon delimited.

for names and addresses, <display name> (e-mail address removed); <display2 name>
(e-mail address removed); format will work. if a person has 3 addresses their name
will need to be associated with each address or the email address will be
the display name.

See http://xsolive.com/Outlook Screen shots/Forms/DispForm.aspx?ID=116
for a screenshot.

What version of Exchange?

don't know...

Mailbox server Microsoft Exchange version: 8.1.263.0
Microsoft Exchange Client Access server version: 8.1.240.0
Outlook Web Access version: 8.1.359.2

these appear to me to be the pertinent items... taken from the
"about" in the OWA options

thanks for answering, the other newsgroup seems to be more for IT guys
than users... it was like reading a foreign language.

Unfortunately it's hard to get help from our own people.. lot of
politics in the work here.
