In the resource file, I can't tell what project a task is from. ..

When I open my resource file, I can see all the tasks that are sharing the
resources, but I cannot tell what project the task is from. Is there a way,
short of including a project-specific reference in each task, that I can tell
which project a task is from.

Mark,
When you say "resource file" I assume you mean Resource Usage view since
that is where you will see the all assignments for each resource. And
since you want to know which assignment goes with which project I also
assume you have a master file with subprojects. Although in this type of
file structure I recommend each subproject task have some type of
identifier that relates to the project (i.e. part of the task's name),
the solution to your question is a lot simpler. In the Resource Usage
view simply display the Project field.

Hope this helps.
