Excel erroneously reports that a file is in use and will only allow it to be
opened read-only. With no applications open ... the file can NOT be opened
for editing NOR can it be deleted from the system.

I am the "individual" that it reports as having the file "locked for
editing" and I don't have it open anywhere else.

How do I "unlock" it or delete it altogether?
