In Word '07, how do I format dollars merged in from Excel?

I have a new version of 2007.
I merge into Word from Excel, but my dollars do not STAY formated, and I
cannot figure out how to hard-code the dollar formatting in Word.

You can use a switch such as:
\# "$0.00" after the mergefield.

Graham Mayor,
I have not had the opportunity to use a mail merge, to place a dollar amt in
a Word document that would require a comma in it, lol :)
