In Word, within a shape/text box how you centre text vertically?

I can centre it horizontally, but how do I do it vertically?

Thanks,

Unfortunately, Word does not offer a built-in way to do this (Publisher
does). But you can insert a single-cell table in your text box and
vertically center the text in that cell.

Actually, if you insert a shape, you can type text within a shape and change
direction horizontal or vertical by clicking within shape, click on format in
ribbon. click on text direction under text

You're answering a different question from the one that was asked, which was
about vertical centering, not about rotating text.
