I have a word document with links to fields in excel spreadsheets.
I've linked them using the copy/paste special/link command.
I've set the link optiion in workd to update links when the word document is
open, when printing & when saving.
However, none of the excel links update automatically.
When I open the word doc it asks if I want to update links -- I reply yes --
excel links DO NOT update.
If I go to prepare>edit link to files automatic button is checked but excel
links to not update.
If I click on each link and the update, they update correctly.
How in the blankety blank to I get these links to update when the word doc
file is opened???
