In XP, Word2003, how do I sort documents

When I use Windows explorer and in the preview pane, how can I sort
list of documents in ascending or descending order of date. I used to
be able to it in Win 98, can I still do it. I know I can sort accoding
to date modified, created, accessed, but these files are still not
sorted in order of dates.

How can I sort dates in ascending or descending order?

Try this: click on the icon "Views" and select "Details" then click on the
column "Date Modified."
