Inactivate Service Messenger

Hi,

I did an upgrade from Windows 98 to XP, now I have this
annoying Service Messenger pop-ups. I already enabled the
firewall in my Network Connections in the Control Panel,
but I still get it. Are there other ways?

To disable the Messenger service in Windows XP.

Open the Control Panel, Add/Remove programs, Add/Remove Windows components

Scroll to the bottom and uncheck Windows messenger
