Inactive Form Controls

Hi there,

I am having some issues with form controls in Excel 2004 for Mac. I
opened a document made in Excel 2003 for windows that contains drop
down menus. When I try to use the drop down menus, clicking on the drop
down arrow chooses a cell behind the drop down. How do I go about
activating these drop downs so that I can use them? Thank you for your
help.

They are most likely ActiveX controls from the Controls Toolbox rather
than Forms tools.

ActiveX is currently a Windows-only technology, so there's no way to
activate the controls in MacXL. The workaround is to use Forms controls.
