Inbox automatically emptied

I have a user whose emails in their inbox keep deleting themselves
automatically for no reason. These emails cannot be traced at all. There
are no rules/filters set up on the account, and the emails are not directed
to go to a personal folder. They are using Outlook 2003, with exchange 2000.
This is the 2nd time it's happened. We have run anti spyware, and virus
scanners, but nothing. It's the weirdest thing! Any help would be greatly
appreciated!

Hi sray,
have you checked if the auto archive options are deactivated?

Hi,

We have had the exactly the same problem here. Users will connect to
PCs and the email will disappear before their eyes.

In some instances the emails to go into a pst file which has been
magically created on the fly!! THe 'deliver new email location' has
automatically been changed from the user's mailbox to the personal
folder. This has happened on a number of different machines and
different users. However it does not happen to every user that logs
onto the same machine and not users on every machine that they log
into!!

We have also has the problem described above - emails disappear but do
not appear to be stored anywhere locally or on the network. They are
not in the deleted items and are not in the recover deleted items. It
is very confusing so if anyone has the answer please help!

We are currently running outlook 2002 and exchange 5.5
