Inbox comes up in auto preview mode

I'm in the middle of upgrading everyone from Office 2000
to Office 2002. After the upgrade (in some instances),
we've seen the inbox come up in auto-preview mode for
unread messages. After the message is read it goes back to
normal.

We've tried turning this feature off, however if you move
to another folder and then return to the inbox, auto
preview returns for unread messages.

Any suggestions? Maybe uninstall and reinstall? Has anyone
seen this?
