Inbox disappears

IN the past 24 hours, every message stored in my inbox
vanished. New ones come in and then they do disappear
periodically.

Does anyone know if there is a virus that is doing this?
(Scanned with Norton without finding anything)
If not a virus- other suggestions?

Thank for the attempt. However, that's not the issue. All
the emails that were in the Inbox literally vanish. They
don't go to any other folder. Any new emails that are
received stay there for about 15 minutes and then they also
vanish.

Our IT guy tried to fix it today without success. The
emails are still showing up on the server but disappear
from my workstation. No one else on the system has this
problem but it occurs with my account no matter where I
sign on in the building. So, it looks like it is a server
problem rather than a local one.

We did a restore of the system from our tape backup and set
everything back to the original defaults. The emails
returned only to disappear again a little while later.

Ever heard of anything like this????
