Inbox messages automatically deleting-why?

My Outook 2000 'Inbox' recently started deleting anything
over three days old. They are not totally disappearing,
they are ending up in the 'Delete' folder. I did not
change any options or anything, and double checked them to
make sure there wasn't something changed in the options.

In outlook oepn the "Tools" menu and select "Rules
Wizard". Check that you have not inadvertently set up a
rule to this. If you have removing the rule is pretty
straight forward
