Inbox Sort From Doubles

When I sort my inbox, I get people's emails both as first name, last name AND last name, first name. In some cases I ALSO get a "from" for their email address. Because of this, I sort my inbox as "from" and have to look for a person's emails in several places. Is there any way to consolidate all emails from one person (who is sending from one email address) as, say, last name, first name ONLY?

Entourage is just passing along their message as they sent it.

You can try filtering for their name, using the "From Contains" filter
in the upper-right corner of the message list. You can also try adding
them to your Address Book, which *may* force a unified appearance.

Let's first check your Entourage Address Book. Entourage comes with the
Names column as default, but in Entourage 2008, we suggest that you delete
that column and add the "First Name" and "Last Name" columns. Many users
also have names listed incorrectly in the contact window. After you add the
two columns, you can identify those contacts that have the first and last
name in the same field. If YOUR Address Book is correct, then check the
message itself. The user could be sending the info incorrectly. There isn't
much you can do about that.

I've had good success sorting by From even when they use multiple email
addresses. Let me know if it's your Address Book or if it's coming from the
recipient. This is actually the first request for help with this sort
function. I don't think many people are even aware it exists.

Tip: Sort your Junk folder by Account and that will show you which of your
accounts are spam magnets.
