Inbox synchronizing errors in Office 2007

Kevin Marks

I am unable to access my email using Outlook 2007; I keep recieving the
message:

Folder:Inbox Synchronizing headers. 'reported error (0x80040604) : 'A folder
by this name already exists.'

I am using Windows Vista Home Premium, and had installed the available
updates many days prior to this issue. I am unaware of any changes I have
made to my system that could have resulted in this and have no idea what to
do in attempts to resolve this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Kevin Marks

This is July and I am having the exact same issue. So far I am not being
helped in any direct way by Microsoft. Have you had any solutions?
Thank you,
Janice

Did you call them about it?

Since you didn't state what "the exact same issue" was, no one can help.
Post the details of your problem.

Hi Kevin,

I just started getting the same issue but have resolved it doing the
following:

1. Go to you outlook accounts and delete your hotmail account (I'm assuming
it is a hotmail account as mine was - if not delete the account anyway but
make sure you know the account details)!

2. Exit outlook 2007.

3. Restart the program and go to your accounts and recreate your email
account - enter the information in manually.

4. Perform a send/receive and hopefully all should work.

I hope this helps. Let me know.

Cheers

Pete
