Inbox

I have a user who has somehow moved his Inbox and put it
under the Deleted items folder and now we can not move it
back. The message he is getting is as follows: Can't
move the Items. Special folders including Inbox,
Contacts, Calendar, Notes, Tasks and Journal folders
cannot be moved.

Does anyone know how to resolve this problem. Thanks in
advance for your time and cooperation.

They should save a copy of the PST for backup in case the outcome isn't to
their liking and should try starting Outlook with the /resetfolders switch.
If that doesn't work, they should create a new PST, make it the default
delivery location, then move everything in their old PST to the new one,
after which they can close the old one and, the next time they close
Outlook, delete it.
