Include a Table tool in OneNote, same as in Word.

OneNote is useful, but it lacks tools that we have in other Office package.

Table is one, but in general we should at least be able to do an "Insert
Object", like we can do in other Office programs. This would allow including
organigrams, equations, spreadsheets, etc.

Hi,

Better table support has been requested many times. Personally, I
would be optimistic that something better will be forthcoming.
Timescale uncertain.

I so agree. If I could at least copy mine from MS Word it would make my life
so much easier. Tables are often used in class to illustrate terms and other
things. Here I can't even get a TabletPC even if I wanted to and I just
started University and love OneNote so I got a laptop but drawing with a
touchpad.... not easy. It would also be helpful to be able to press shift
while drawing i.e. with a pen to get a straight line. That would help a lot
with my problem of creating tables and should be easy enough to program so it
could be in the next service pack. Please include this easy solution! Thank
you, Vala in Iceland.

Well, I'm sorry to disappoint but there won't be any new features in the
next service pack. For new features you'll have to wait until the next
version of OneNote ships which should be sometime late next year.

In the meantime you could create your tables in Word and screen clip them
into OneNote if you just want to be able to see them alongside your notes.
