Include ACCESS in ALL OFFICE PRODUCTS

I am a new college student and bought the office student teacher edition. It
does not have ACCESS on it. Didn't know that when i got it and it suprised my
computer instructor as well. The are teaching ACCESS in introductory classes.
I believe it should be included in all office suits.

That's ridiculous. Most people never use Access and have no clue how.
That's why there are like five versions of Office - so you can buy what
you want and only that. Take the software back and get what you need.
Shop more carefully next time.

It would have cost at least $50 more if Access had been included on that CD.
You need to buy Access separately or buy the Office 2003 Pro edition or the
Office Small Business Management 2006 edition, which both include Access 2003.
Students and teachers qualify for the Academic edition of Office 2003 Pro
2003, which is $199.

Access isn't listed on the box. *Always* read the label before you buy
something, hon. Most Office customers never use Access and don't want to pay
for applications they'll never use, so Microsoft makes several editions
available. The lowest price applies to the edition that has the fewest
applications, the one you bought, because that has the applications that most
students need. If you want more applications, then you need to purchase one
of the other editions, all of which cost more than the Student/Teacher
edition, because they have more applications.

No one wants to pay more than they have to. Microsoft has specifically
stated that their customers don't want to pay for applications they aren't
going to use, which is why Microsoft provides many different editions and
licensing programs for each version of Office. You just have to pick the one
you need.
