#include file / #include virtual

Using IIS 6.0: I'm trying to change #include file to
#include virtual. These #include seem to be part of
frontpage comments. When I make the changes, and save, it
reverts back to the old code giving me this error:

"The contents of a frontpage component has been modified.
The contents will be overwritten when you save the page"

Is there a way of chaning these areas in the frontpage comments and having it
save?

The FP Include page is a design time component (hard code w/i the page when saved)
The webbot can not be changed
What is does is save the included content on File save and remove it when opened in FP
