Include Pages

I have a FP2003 web that has a lot of include pages on each page. I make
changes to one of the included pages and republish the web however all of the
pages that use the included page are not published: just the included page.
I have to publish all of the pages that use the included page manually.

I have "Changed Pages Only" and "Use Source File Timestamps..." selected as
the publishing options. I don't want to have to republish the entire web
just to see the included page changes on all pages affected.

What am I doing wrong? Any help would be appreciated.

FP includes are design time tools - not run time SSI
So you either
- Need to publish all affected pages
- Publish your include pages (a single files) and open you online site to run tools recalculate hyperlinks

This sounds like normal behavior to me. I have a number of sites that
use included pages for the menu, header and footer. If I make a change
to the menu, say, only that page - menu.htm in my case - needs to be
published, and FP acts accordingly.

I will say, though that I have noticed that Firefox is not great at
refreshing these pages on its own. I have to hit the reload button for
the changes to appear. Perhaps this is a setting in Firefox, but I
haven't bothered with it. I don't remember having this particular
problem with IE when I was using it. Could this be your problem?

Anyway, fp extensions will link the include page in at time of viewing.
Just look at the source code and you will see where this happens.
