The above appears in my documents instead of the graphics. I was playing
with photographs in documents yesterday. I must have changed something to
make this happen in my other documents. Is there a setting that I need to
change back to show the graphics again? I'm stumped.

Hi Dena,

You can use Alt+F9 to toggle between field codes and field content. The cid:type is likely an email attachment reference.
Generally you should save an attachment to your hard drive before opening it.
