In word 2007, Pictures as links do not work well. Hence I use INCLUDEPICTURE
Fields. During an update, the cropping done to resize the picture is lost for
most of the pictures. There are 500+ pictures. Many of the pictures exist in
Tables.
e.g.
INCLUDEPICTURE \d "C:\\Documents and Settings\\Owner\\My
Documents\\Book\\Images\\Chap 18\\ArdhaH\\DSC_1630_Link.JPG" \* MERGEFORMAT
"\* MERGEFORMAT" (or MERGEFORMATINET) does not preserve the formatting
during the update. Presence of extra spaces in the INCLUDEPICTURE text seems
to lead to problems, so I have compacted the spaces too.
This throws off the formatting of the entire book since number of pages
keeps varying depending on Word's mood.
Any hints?
Thanks
