Incoming calendar invites coming in as emails

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel
Email Client: pop

When I get invites in my inbox they appear as emails. All I get is text of the event, with no menu options to respond to. Is there a box for me to check? How do I fix?

Many thanks

Are you sure you're receiving a meeting invitation? What is the sender
using for his E-mail application to send you the invite?

I have exactly the same problem as 'rjsphd'.

I am certain that it is a meeting invite as I sent it to myself from a PC with a different username/email address. The invite is coming from exchange server initiated on a Windows mobile device. When the invite is received in Outlook 2008, it appears as normal with the 'accept' etc... buttons.

I have upgraded entourage to version 12.1.4 which did solve another problem I was having with sending of meeting invites but the problem of exchange invites appearing as normal e-mail in entourage persists.

If you have an answer or comment for the original poster then please
respond within that thread. Otherwise, if you're looking for a solution
to your own problem -- no matter how similar to someone else's -- then
begin your own thread. Similar problems may not have the same solutions.

When you say "sent it to myself from a PC with a different
username/email address" I am assuming you mean from one account to an
unrelated account, correct? You would not be able to send a meeting
invite to yourself.

If this doesn't answer your question then begin a new thread with
details of your own problem, include your software versions and what
you've tried already to fix the problem.
